I've been trying to get an idea what exactly is the difference between a managed server and a dedicated server. Seems to me that the definition is very murky, and depending on what data center you're getting a server from, the service you receive will be very different even though they call it the same thing. Nobody would call a Rackshack server 'managed' though, but places like Nocster call their servers 'managed'. What about a place like ThePlanet, or DedicatedNow? Are they managed? If you had a server that was managed, what would you expect from your service provider? _________________ business coach
